Check compatbility of this controller kit with your steering column:
- Toyota Prius (second generation) from 2004 to 2009, check the photos on this ad and make sure your steering column is very similar.
- Toyota Yaris from 2006 to 2011, check the photos on this ad and make sure your steering column is very similar. These Yaris´s came from factory with ABS or without ABS. Cars with ABS (most of them) work perfectly with our controller kit. Cars without ABS please let us know to send you the correct controller kit for you.

This controller box comes ready to install. All you need to do is to follow the wiring instructions and install the adjustment knob in a proper place.

Electric power steering uses an electric motor to assist the steering. A computer module (ECU) receives information from several sensors and decides which level of assistance the electric motor should deliver to the steering. When you install an electric power steering to your vehicle it won´t work because the ECU doesn´t receives information from the other ECU´s of the car. That’s why you need this controller unit. It sends information to the ECU according to the position of the knob. So, the position of this knob will determine the steering assistance level.
How to adjust steering assistance:
- Adjustment knob turned fully anti-clockwise - minimum steering assistance.
- Adjustment knob turned fully clockwise - maximum steering assistance.
- Between this two points, you have various intermediate steering assistance levels.
There is a long list of vehicles using electric power steering. These type of steering is easily installed in any vehicle because they are small, lightweight (compared with other types of power steering) and you only need to modify your steering column.
Typical applications: Rally cars, classic cars, AE86, Escort mk1 mk2, Opel Manta Ascona Kadett, Westfield, Nova, Van´s, Mini, Buggy, Mustang, Chevrolet, Camaro, Dodge, Van, Campers, many others.
Attention: this control box only fits Toyota Prius and Toyota Yaris electric power steering.
