This Wiring Harness Adapter was developed to allow the installation / swap of an M52 or M62 from E39 engine into an E36 or E30.

This Wiring Adapter is very easy to install. Basically you only need to connect some plugs, and ground. You will find all the information needed and photos on the installation procedure included in this sale.

– After removing the engine from the donor car – Make sure that you have some Free Plugs on your engine harness near the ECU like the ones on the Photo attached. Basically is where our wiring harness adapter will connect.

This Wiring Adapter also has an OBD2 plug where you can check errors, live data, etc…

This Wiring Adapter was developed and tested to the following engines:

–       M52 Single Vanos with DME/ECU MS41 from E39

–       M62 with DME/ECU ME5.2  from E39

You only need to delete EWS/IMMO from the engine ECU and everything will work.

For E30 only – This wiring harness adapter will work, if you have at the engine bay a 20 position plug (Photo 4)

If your engine comes from other platform such as E38 it may also work. Check the plugs you have on your engine bay.

To produce your wiring harness we need to know the following information from your car / project:

  – What is your car?   (e.g.  E36).

  – Which engine you want to swap? (e.g. M52)

   – Which DME/ECU your new engine use?  (e.g. MS41)

   – If you will install the engine on a E36, will you keep A.C.? (e.g. Yes, with A.C.)
